The huge solution the movie was hiding was that Multiverse of Madness basically experienced Wanda herself as the key villain, the energy of Scarlet Witch thoroughly unleashed owing to Darkhold corruption, which has her wanting to siphon The united states Chavez’s electricity so she can freely travel to multiverses to be with her misplaced kids.
Granted, yes, Wanda has not particularly been executing a good deal “good” things these days. In WandaVision she enslaved an entire city psychically so she could have a phony idyllic daily life with him and her invented little ones. And by the conclusion we realized she was looking at the Darkhold, the most corrupting evil item in the MCU.
But even now! This incredibly a great deal did not feel like what was going to transpire in Multiverse of Madness, which has Wanda as a horror villain, laying siege to Odd and his military of wizards, and then later, brutally murdering practically all the users of the Illuminati in an alternate universe, shredding Reed Richards like string cheese, making Black Bolt blow his individual brains out, cutting Captain Carter in fifty percent with her individual protect and snapping Charles Xavier’s neck. I imagined I was watching The Boys for that sequence.

Just…incredible, wild stuff in this article. Wanda, entirely unhinged, was a glorious villain for this film, and I cherished that her function in the movie was hidden to the diploma that it was. And that evil wanting “Strange Supreme”? A further fantastic twist, when that turns out to be Weird possessing the corpse of a useless alt-universe Strange and harnessing the energy of evil spirits to wage war in opposition to Wanda. It is really Raimi/Evil Useless, and yet again, another amazing section of the movie, full misdirection from the trailer.
It is quite easy for misleading trailers to guide to disappointment in a film, and extremely difficult for factors to be hidden to this degree and have that strategy turn out effectively like we’re observing in this article. But I totally adore the bait and swap the film’s internet marketing did with Wanda and Peculiar, and it seriously increased my pleasure of the film by generating a transform I genuinely did not see coming, even if in hindsight, the clues were kind of there that Wanda was on the way to turn out to be this stage of undesirable.
Just excellent marketing work below. Cameos are entertaining and it was also lousy none of them stunned me, I suppose, but hiding the entire storyline to this diploma was a masterclass in misdirection. Bravo.
